Four decisions that settle the specification
Get these right and everything else is options.
Capacity: 1.5 t covers most Irish pallets
Standard distribution pallets run 700–1,200 kg. Step to 2.0–2.5 t for drinks, tiles, chemicals, feed or double-stacked loads.
Pedestrian, platform or rider
Under about 40 m per move, pedestrian trucks are the most manoeuvrable. Beyond that a fold-down platform or full rider removes fatigue and adds throughput.
Battery chemistry sets the shift pattern
Lithium for multi-shift, cold store and opportunity charging. Maintenance-free lead-acid for single-shift work with an overnight charge.
Fork length and truck width
Match fork length to your pallet type and check overall width against tail-lifts, curtain-siders and container doors before you order.
